Job description
We are delighted to advertise the position of Care Worker within our Community Support team. The service operates 24/7 at two Independent Living Schemes, and assists a few private clients in the local area . Our team are friendly, dedicated, and passionate about providing high quality care for our clients. Please note no formal care experience is necessary. We are more interested in your caring qualities than we are with your career background!
We are recruiting for:
Care Support Worker – posts ranging from 8 hours through to 38 hours per week. The hours worked will be between 2pm to 10pm for full time positions, and 5pm to 10pm for part time positions. Personal care is unlikely. The support is helping our clients in our supported living scheme to socialise, assist with dinner, organising their personal affairs, etc.
Pay & Benefits:
*Pay is at £10.50 per hour for week days and £11.81 per hour for weekends and bank holidays.
*If you are required to travel we pay at £0.45 per mile, and travel time is paid within contracted or overtime hours. Some other companies can take advantage in this area – we do not!
*Enrolment is automatic for the People Pension scheme where the trust pays a contribution of 3%, the tax authorities pay 1%, and the employee pays 4% of the gross earnings.
*Annual leave starts at 22 days plus 8 bank holidays pro rata, rising to 25 days plus 8 bank holidays pro rata after three years of service.
*Car parking is free at all our sites.
*Regular pay increases subject to business performance.
*Free tea, coffee and milk at our Independent Living Scheme.
*We pay for your DBS check.

*A DBS check that does not highlight issues preventing you from working with vulnerable adults.
*A full driving licence.
*Access to your own vehicle.
*Business insurance on your vehicle that allows you to take clients home in your car.
*Compassion for adults with learning disabilities, dementia, and mental health problems.
*Willing to work overtime during busy periods to cover annual leave and sickness.
*Will remain up to date with COVID19 vaccinations to protect our vulnerable service users.
